Rekha goes to meet famous lawyer

According to the advice given by Raghuram, Rekha went to meet the famous lawyer Hanumantraya. There were so many people waiting in the hall outside the office. Rekha entered the hall. By now she had become famous since Anand’s case was known to the whole world. All recognize her and looked at her in surprise.

One lady came near her with folded hands. “Come, Mrs. Rekha. Please take a seat.”

Rekha sat down near the lady. Another lady sitting nearby looked at Rekha and asked, “We read about Anand in the newspaper. How is he now? Has he started eating?”

Rekha shook her head sadly. “No. He is still refusing to eat anything. I am so worried.”

Suddenly the attendee approached Rekha. “Madam, have you come to meet sir? Come.”

Rekha nodded and got up. She followed the attendee.

Hanumantraya was talking on the phone. He put down the receiver and looked up at Rekha as she entered the office. Rekha folded her hands.

Hanumantraya also folded his hands and pointed to a chair. “Come, Mrs.Rekha. Please take a seat.”

Rekha sat down. “Sir, I have come to discuss an important matter with you.”

Attendee brought water. Rekha drank water and then she wiped her eyes.

Lawyer looked at Rekha. He said, “Rekha madam, I know all about your problem since I have been watching TV. Also, coach Raghuram is my close friend. He called me yesterday and told me all about the case.”

Rekha looked at him in surprise.

Lawyer continued, “I have come to a decision after seeing everything on TV. I want to tell you that I am determined to put a case through public litigation. The same day evening I got phone call from Raghuram.”

He pointed to a file on the table “I prepared the case file that night itself.”

Rekha was surprised and happy. She folded her hands and said, “Sir, my son is fasting to death. You have to save him somehow or the other. I know that death is knocking on the door. Everyone knows it. But he must be allowed to compete in the championship. I am sure that he will win. Chess is his breathe. You must help us.”

Lawyer wiped his eyes with sadness.  “I have won so many difficult cases in my life. This case is a very challenging one. But I have found a wonderful point in it. Just watch. I promise that I will win the case within 24 hours so that nothing will happen to the boy. Don’t worry. I will appeal to the High court directly today itself.”

Suddenly Rekha’s cell rang. Rekha looked at the number. It was coach Raghuram calling. Rekha looked at Hanumantraya.  “Coach Raghuram is on the phone.” She passed the cell to him. He put the cell to his ear.

Hanumantraya said, “Hallo Mr.Raghuram, I am Hanumantraya speaking. Do you have any good news?”

Raghuram was sitting in a moving car. He spoke into his cell. “Mr. Hanumantraya, you are the most famous lawyer in India. Only you can save Anand.”

Lawyer said with determination, “Don’t worry, Raghuram. If I am not able to save Anand from this situation, I will retire from lawyer’s job. That is my challenge. Within 24 hours I will make the government sport authority take a decision in favour of Anand.”
